Looking for some ways to work off all that food consumed in the last 48 hours? I don’t know about all of you, but I just ate enough food in the last 2 days to be able to hibernate until the Big Event. What better way to burn off those calories than by practicing some skills for the Big Event!? 

 

During the Big Event, Running Wild will donate money for every mile you run on the treadmill. So hop on that treadmill and start crankin’ out those miles so you can beat your best at the Big Event!! Or you could start training for next year’s Dance Marathon the Marathon.

 

Freshen up your Wii skills and grab a friend for some Wii bowling, tennis, or better yet Just Dance Wii and you can learn some new dance moves while you’re at it. You’ll be ready to go to play with the kiddos in the activity rooms!

 

Take a Zumba class to get your stamina and endurance up while learning how to move to the music. Zumba incorporates hip-hop, samba, salsa, meringue, mambo, AND martial arts! So your dancing will be top notch for the Big Event. Not only will this sharpen up your dancing skills, but it will also prepare you for Power Hour! For those of you who don’t know what Power Hour is, it is one of the most exhausting and exhilarating parts of the Big Event. It is the last hour of the Big Event that we all spend together dancing our hearts out. Although thinking of all the kiddos you are dancing for is what gets your through the last hour, an hour long Zumba class would also be good practice!

 

Pick an activity and start burning off those holiday treats!
