Hey, you! Have you recently signed up for Dance Marathon, whether you got sucked into all the dunk tank fun on the T. Anne Cleary Walkway this week during Summer Sendoff, or because you know a Morale Captain who wouldn’t stop bugging you until you registered? If so, CONGRATS! You’re now part of a life-changing student org. But what should you do next?

  1. Set Up Your Online Giving Page
    1. Go to
    2. Login with your HawkID and password
    3. Click the link to access your online giving pageogp
    4. Click the pencil icon to EDIT your online giving page – a tutorial for this will be up on the Dance Marathon website soon!ogp2
    5. Add your personal story: why you signed up for Dance Marathon, what impact you’re hoping to make, and include where all our raised money goes! (For a list of this, ask your Morale Captain!)
  2. Post the link to your Online Giving Page EVERYWHERE.
    1. Facebook is a great place to start. Have your parents and family members share your link as well so it reaches more people!
  3. Send emails with your Online Giving Page link
    1. Dig up that old list of addresses you used for Graduation Party invites and thank yous, and tell everyone on it about Dance Marathon individually!
  4. Attend Dance Marathon events!
    1. Your Morale group is your greatest resource. Such a big organization can seem overwhelming, but start with your captain, MCA, and group members and spread the lime from there! Attend group socials and other DM events so that you can fully appreciate the magnitude of the organization you’re now a part of.
  5. Fundraise, fundraise, fundraise!
    1. The kiddos and their families are at the heart of everything we do. As we enter summer, keep DM on your mind and think outside the box for creative ways to fundraise. Keep your eye out for a summer-themed fundraising guide in a couple of weeks 🙂
