With only a month into summer, everything is finally settling in. The study abroad trips, internships, summer classes, mission trips, and jobs have already begun and hopefully everyone is enjoying it thus far. Among all of these new beginnings with summer, though, there is one constant — Dance Marathon. Dance Marathon never stops, and neither should you.

Whether it’s going to your neighbors door asking for donations, holding a bake sale, or organizing a unique fundraiser, be sure to do all that you can this summer for Dance Marathon and for the kiddos.

For this particular Lime Time Wednesday, I’d like to reintroduce a popular subject from last year: Travel Tuesday. Although to many Dance Marathon is just in Iowa City, it’s actually everywhere — it’s all around the state, the country, and even the world. That’s because pediatric cancer is 365 days a year, everywhere. So, if you are studying abroad, doing an internship, participating in a mission trip, or going on a super cool vacation, be thinking of how you can spread lime further than just Iowa City. Spread your lime everywhere. By doing this, you are not only showing how much Dance Marathon means to you, but how important the fight against pediatric cancer is.

Continue to participate in Lime Time Wednesday, but don’t forget about Travel Tuesday! You can be a part of Travel Tuesday on social media by emailing all of your amazing pictures to our DM Social Media Chair, Dalton, to Also, make sure to include hashtags such as #TravelTuesday to be featured on the upcoming Travel Tuesdays!

There is only 239 days until the Big Event! Do all that you can — spread lime, awareness, and DM love everywhere you go! I can’t wait to see all of the awesome things you are all doing throughout the summer For The Kids!

FTK always,
-Jenna Larson
