As summer is coming to a close, you may be thinking of having one last hurrah with your fundraising before you get busy with work, classes, and homework. There are many ways to quickly fundraise when you have more free time.
Going door-to-door in your neighborhood is a great idea to not only spread the word about DM, but to also raise some funds for your dancer account. It’s a great idea to prepare something to say before you start canning so that you can inform your neighbors of what DM does.
Host a Hometown Community Day
If there’s a popular business in your hometown, you may want to host a hometown community day. Many people have held community days at different businesses, such as Panera, McDonald’s, and other local restaurants.
Make a Sale
Whether you’re selling some old clothing or some knick knacks, the money you make from Plato’s Closet or a garage sale can be used to fundraise for DM. Depending on what you sell and where you sell it, you can make a decent amount of money for your dancer account.
While it’s still hot out, a great fundraising idea is a car wash. You can get some other dancers together to have some help, and you and your friends can all raise some money for your accounts.
Have fun with the rest of your summer fundraising and always remember why you’re doing what you’re doing – For The Kids.
